Cats understand their owners.. but they don't care

Are you the type of person that speaks to your cat? Did you know that they listen and understand but they just don't care?

A study that was conducted in a University in Tokyo has published in an Animal journal that they have figured out and concluded that by studying 20 cats for 8 months.
What they did was they made each and every cat listen to voice recordings of 4 people, 3 of random strangers and its owner just calling his or her name. After observing those cats, researchers have discovered that 15 out of the 20 cats had increased response to the owner's voice.

So that means that your cat does know who you are when listening, but here is where he/she is not interested anymore. Paw nation then reports :

"These results indicate that cats do not actively respond with communicative behaviour to owners who calling them from out of sight, even though they can distinguish their owners voices."
