The Vow

The Vow is not precisely a woman's picture. It's all the more about how a man becomes hopelessly in love, loses his affection and surrenders everything in life to concentrate on recapturing his love. One can say its a woman's picture from a male perspective.

"Moments of impact define who we are," says the etched Channing Tatum, who used to be a male stripper before he turned into a film star, and still looks it. That is the sort of sappy corn syrup that goes for narration, and Mr. Tatum is better playing combatants and hellfire raising officers than he is stating it.
He's a fellow named Leo, who owns a recording studio.

The beautiful Rachel McAdams is Paige, a sculptress studying at the Chicago Art Institute. They meet adorably and get married even cuter after he spells "Move In" with blueberries. At that point, on a sentimental winter night under road lights that light the snow like candles, a truck that sends Paige through the windshield back hits their car. When she recovers in the hospital her brain harmed and wearing a Band-Aid, all she recollects is her life before Leo. When he goes to her room, she supposes he's her doctor. He pledges to floor her with adoration, yet she has a feeling that she's sharing space to a stranger. She doesn't even remember him at all, nothing they had, absolutely nothing. He moves to the lounge chair.
At that point her parents (Sam Neill and Jessica Lange) try to take control , and her long-term memory includes a distinctive romance with an old boyfriend (Canadian heart throb Scott Speedman) who returns, needing his offer. She falls into old habits, old mixed drinks and cocktails, old most favourite meals (she overlooks she's a veggie lover). The most imperative thing she forgets about is the vow she made at her wedding: “Regardless of the challenges that might come between us, we’ll always find our way back to each other.” Leo gives his life to making Paige fall head over heels in love with him again.

The Vow appears to be extra moving in light of the fact that its sincerity is not devised. It's a real story and the real couple that experienced this tragedy are shown toward the end, rejoined after years of exertion and hard work.

Before the accident that happened to Paige we see how Leo and Paige met. How they stayed in love. How they stayed in affection. It feels real and it is amazing to watch what’s between these two youthful actors. At the point when Paige no more recalls what they once had, the story starts to become more interesting and more catchy.

I adore Rachel McAdams, and her acting felt so real. But what really grabbed my attention and kept me wanting to watch the movie even more was Leo's passion. He was sentimental, he was afraid, he felt anger, and mostly he was creative and passionate in trying to win back this lady and he desperately wanted it really bad. I really felt his agony and his pain.

Channing Tatum was the real actor here for me. He really played his role perfectly right.

Paul Walker died after crashing

Paul Walker, one of the main stars of the Fast and Furious film franchise, died after a major car accident where the car he was in crashed at a hight speed and burst into flames, according to the coroner's report.

Walker, 40 years old was found dead with his friend and financial adviser Roger Rodas on the 30th of November in a burntPorsche Carrera GT in Los Angeles.

The coroner's report said that Walker died of the many effects of traumatic and thermal injuries but Rodas the one who was actually driving the car died of multiple traumatic injuries. They found no signs of any drugs or alcohol in their bodies.

Kristy McCracken, the investigator for the Los Angeles coroner, explained how the car was driving at unsafe high speed in a wrong direction. "For an unknown reason the driver lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle partially spun around and began to travel in a south-easterly direction."

"The vehicle then struck a sidewalk and the driver's side struck a tree and then a lightpost. The force of these collisions caused the vehicle to spin 180 degrees and it continued to travel in an easterly direction," the report states.
"The passenger side of the vehicle then struck a tree and it then burst into flames."
The coroner added that the Porsche was found "totalled with major traffic collision damage all around and it appeared that the vehicle was almost split in half."
Paul Walker was still filming scenes for Fast and Furious 7 when this accident happened. The film is now in all the movie theatres all over the world.

The Terminal

Tom Hanks is a phenomenal actor. He has starred in man movies, but one of the most memorable movies in my opinion is The Terminal.

The terminal is a movie about an eastern immigrant, Victor Novarski, who finds himself stranded at the JFK airport. He was not permitted access onto American soil because on his flight over, his government collapsed.

Because of the war that broke out in Viktor’s country’s country, his papers were not valid. The Department of Homeland Security did not allow him access out of the airport. There was also no way for him to go “home” either.

He ended up having to make the JFK airport his hope throughout the duration of the war. Viktor Novarski also spoke little to no English. Upon his arrival he was “lost in translation”.

The terminal became Victor’s home. At the very beginning, he was left in despair, trying to figure out what to do with his current situation. He had nowhere to go, no contacts, and no way to survive.

On one of his nights, he saw that there was ongoing construction, so he spent his night finishing up the construction. By the time the morning came, the workers walked in to find that Victor had completed their job. It was then, that they offered Victor work, and he was able to make money to survive in the terminal.

Victor also managed to teach himself English. He was able to communicate with others comfortably. Among the people he would talk to frequently, was a flight attendant.

Throughout his stay, Victor had a can with him at all times. Everyone was curious to know the contents of the can. Eventually he was harassed by endless questions before finally caving and letting the others know the contents of the can.

His response was “my father”. Victor’s father had visited every jazz player of a certain group except for one. He died before he got the opportunity to. So Victor wanted to complete the list for his father. Eventually he was able to.

The Terminal is one of my favorite movies. It shows struggles and difficulties. But more importantly, it shows how someone was able to overcome what seems like the worst possible situation that could happen to someone.

Victor is a role model, to remain calm and make the most of out any situation. His constant positivity remained high. Despite his lows, he managed to bounce back to his high-spirited self.

He also taught me that that patience really is a virtue. When it felt like the entire world was against him, he continued to insist on his dream / mission. He was going to complete his father’s dream, and meet the final jazz performer.

I think that The Terminal is one of Tom Hanks’ best works, and that it should be a movie that everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime. Not only does it have endless lessons that someone could learn, it is so full of emotion.

As a member of the audience, I felt attached to Tom Hanks’ character, Victor. I was able to emotionally connect with everything he was feeling; his fear, his sadness, his confusion, when he fell in love, and the suspense of his walk to the airport doors. The relief of when he finally made it out of the airport, and the feeling of success and ultimate satisfaction when he followed through with his father’s wishes were beyond touching.

It definitely is a movie that everyone should watch. Steven Spielberg outdid himself by directing this movie, and Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Stanley Tucci, and the rest of the cast were beyond successful in embodying the characters.
